What Is a Normal Fasting Blood Sugar Level?
تیم سلامت یار · 3 min read

Fasting blood sugar (FBS) is one of the simplest screening tests for diabetes, typically measured after at least 8 hours without food.
For most adults, a normal fasting glucose is 70–99 mg/dL. A value of 100–125 mg/dL indicates prediabetes, and 126 mg/dL or higher (on two separate tests) usually indicates diabetes.
A slightly elevated number is not diabetes by itself, but it's worth acting on: cutting back on sugary foods, walking regularly, and losing a small amount of weight often help. Track your readings in SalamatYar to see the trend over time.
